Mahek Bhora (Global Newsroom and WLL Photo-Visuals Editor) is a rising senior at Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, California. She will be the web editor this year for The Smoke Signal, her school’s newspaper, where she will manage the paper’s online presence and social media. Her journalism career began last year, and she fell in love with how it allowed her to combine her passions. In her free time, she enjoys watching Avatar: The Last Airbender on repeat, volunteering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and listening to music while working into the night.
