Kanchan Naik (Global Newsroom Editor) is a rising senior at The Quarry Lane School in Dublin, California. This past year, she was the editor-in-chief of her school’s online news magazine The Roar, and has plans to continue expanding the publication. After a two-year internship, she was appointed as the Youth Editor of India Currents, a West Coast cultural magazine. She is also the Director of Media Outreach for Bay Area nonprofit Break the Outbreak. Aside from journalism, Kanchan is very passionate about poetry and was the 2019-2020 Teen Poet Laureate for the City of Pleasanton.
