SAINT CLOUD, France — The cities of our world are constantly changing and progressing and so are its people and their music. And that’s why we’ve come up with this Spotify playlist for people in the world’s striving and thriving cities.
Through notes and voices this playlist will take you on a musical journey, starting with Billy Joel in New York, then to Europe for some U2.
After flying over to Seoul for some K-Pop, you’ll travel to the Caribbean to experience the music of Bob Marley, then back to the U.S. for a final peace tribute from Michael Jackson and Tupac.
Music has the power to unite people; it has the power to connect people and the power to change people. As British pop legend Elton John so beautifully expresses, “Music has healing powers.”
So listen to these melodies, which heal and enhance the quality of our cities and their people.
Lyrics we especially love:
-
- “One love, one blood, one people/ One heart, one beat, we equal” — The Black Eyed Peas
-
- “I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand/ Walking through the streets of Soho in the rain” —Warren Zevon
- “Pride, in the name of love/ What more in the name of love.” —U2
Enjoy!
