I'm from

Life has a new rhythm now

I remember the last day of school.

It was a Friday. I was first on the bus and I found a seat in the back. I remember choosing a song to play on my cellphone as people slowly filled the bus.

I remember being happy with how things were and how I was starting to settle into the new rhythm of life in high school. It was completely different from life in middle school, but in a good way.

Now it’s different again. On a normal day in quarantine, usually I wake up pretty late and spend a lot of my time with my friends over a voice chat. When I'm not talking to them, I'm either writing or cooking.

The way I exercised before was walking across the school campus, so I haven't had a lot of exercise since it closed. Most of the time I wear pajamas, but sometimes I like to wear everyday clothes, as a sort of morale boost.

I haven't learned much of anything related to school.

On my own, I’ve been learning to cook, and that’s coming along nicely. Other than cleaning after I cook, and cleaning my room, I haven’t done much. I miss being in school, and also just going to it. I liked the routine and being there with my friends. But I don't miss the rush of people between classes, all the noise and the movement.

I wish I knew when everything was going back to normal, just so that I’d know when it’s all going to end. But I’m not really worried about anything.
