He also served as interactives team leader for Newsroom by the Bay 2020, creating the WLL microsite and organizing the student group that coded story pages and other site elements.

Dustin Duong (senior photographer/photo editor) is a rising junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill studying photo- and video-journalism at the Hussman School of Journalism and Media. Dustin specializes in general news coverage and long-form visual storytelling. He designed and created the long-distance photo diptychs for the WLL microsite.

Beatrice Motamedi (managing editor and project designer) is director of Newsroom by the Bay, a digital media program for high school journalists. She served as senior project editor and designer for “Since Parkland,” which won the 2019 Global Youth and News Media Prize, and associate editor of “24 Hours in Cyberspace,” the landmark photo project on one day in the life of the internet.

Camille Respess (senior project editor and website designer) is a rising senior at the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications, where she has worked for the Brechner Center for Freedom of Information and PBS member station WUFT. An NBC News Fellow, Camille has worked for Chalkbeat, an education news source based in New York, and served as an assistant project editor on “Since Parkland.”
