They’ve gone dark: Afghans who helped the U.S. military, trained as American-style journalists and rode the wave of women heading to higher education are destroying the diplomas, transcripts and résumés that prove how they built civil society in the country that the U.S. has left behind.
Visualizing change: Cartoons, logos and graphics to get you thinking
When it comes to visualizing change, infographics, logos, and editorial cartoons can be a push towards thinking outside the lines and finding solutions to problems — even one as big as erasing a footprint equal to 50 tons of carbon emissions.
Below is a selection of cartoons and logos from student journalists for ASPire, the student news website at the American School of Paris. Topics include climate change, the need for new and innovative thinking on environmental sustainability, and the terror attacks that hit Paris on Nov. 13.

Also featured here is an infographic by Kyla Langotsky of Green School Bali that shows how students worked in advance of COP21 on a five-step plan to offset an estimated 50 tons of carbon emissions resulting from their trip to Paris.
